Sad week

Hello all,

It is decided that we can't go to the funeral. The husbands job is in need of him this week and he isn't able to take leave. I think this is really hard on him. When he started this job, he wasn't able to be there for his mother's father's funeral. Now because he was, in a way, promoted, he is needed at work and can't make his father's father's funeral. Both his grandfather's funerals. This would be hard for me too.

This past weekend we explored the big mall. We explored for about 5 hours. We ran out of things to do since we couldn't afford much things at the time. I went looking for black stockings and black flats. As much as I am glad that I bought what I was looking for, I was not 100% happy with my flats. I am only 80% happy with them. I felt bad if I dragged my husband all over the mall just to look for the right flats. I know I should have looked around. The flats were quite expensive, even on sale. But since I got it, I will just have to deal with it.

I called the job that I applied for. I found out that they filled that position. It feels wrong. They called me the day after I applied to ask me some questions and the lady who called me said she will give my information to the boss and call me if they want to interview me. For two weeks, they made me think that I was going to hear fro them. They gave me hope that I would have an interview but they didn't even have the courtesy to call me to say that they filled the position. I don't think that it's right that some placed do that. I tried to look for another job but all the other postings are for positions that required real experience or schooling for it. For example, massage therapist, paralegal, auto shop, nail and hair salons. I do NOT have experience or knowledge of any of this and they want those that have experience in those positions. I am so sad. I can't find a job that I can excel in. It makes me sad that I can't make any money for myself.

Next thing to find other than a job is doctors!! So more to come soon.

Until next time, follow me on...

Whirlwind Hurricane!!

So much has happened since the last time I was here.

Started my office job in September 2010 and stayed there till the end of February 2012. I left my stock position in March 2011.

I also have moved. I got married and moved to another state. Things have been so strange being married and trying to be used to a new state.

The area that I am at is full of junk food joints and then there and different types of stores. I tried to explore but things are so far away. I am not comfortable driving here yet because the speed limit is much higher than I am used to. If I were to walk everywhere, I am going to be walking so much more than needed. I have google-ed directions to somewhere, driving would take 23 minutes to get there but walking would take me a bit over 5 hours. FIVE HOURS!!!!! It's insane!!

I am still looking for a job and I am looking for some friends. I was offered to make friends with my husbands female work friends or the wives of the other friends. But I don't want to do that. I want to make my own friends whom I can trust.

The place we have is full of colorful people and I'm not sure if I like them. People let the whole world know about their business, good or bad!! There is no class in the area that I am living and it is a bit different from what I am used to back at home.

I moved to a new state for a month and in our apartment we don't have much. The husband bought an air bed before he came home to marry me. Then when we got here, the first things we did was to get kitchen things so that we can eat and live. Then we looked for furniture in the living room. We still don't have our furniture. They are being delivered in a few days and I cant wait to get it!!! I miss having furniture!!

And just today... I found out my husbands grandpa has passed. I only met him for the wedding and in those few days I have come to care for him as if he was my own grandpa. He was so adorable. My own grandpa has left in 2008. I loved my grandpa but for majority of my memories with him he was sick. My husbands grandpa was sick too. But he seemed more healthy than what my grandpa look. My husbands grandpa died when his heart stopped while he was in dialysis. I don't have much information on his death or his life but he was a great man. I will surely miss him.

I will try to live life and explore what I can in a new place and share it on...

Hello Again...

Hello World!!!

It has been a while since I have been able to speak with you. There has been some new things that happened to me... I have two jobs now!!

I work in retail in a stock position and now I work as a part time secretary...

Now I really have crunched time to spend for everything that I need to do.

Since I have been so busy, I couldn't find much time to exercise so I bought the Reeboks Easytone shoes so I can have a work out while I'm working in the retail job. the retail job is mostly overnight shipments so I don't have to wear clothes that are too professional.

But this new job I have is a desk job obviously since I'm a secretary hehe.

But before I got this job I told myself and select few that when I get a secretary job at the university that I graduated from, I will buy myself a carnivourous plant (a Venus Flytrap) from thinkgeek.com but I never gone about doing that. Then one day... my wonderful love bought me a "Grow your own Venus Flytrp" kit.

I asked my supervisor if I could gorw it, and she said yes. When I asked my boss if I could, he told mer "as long as it doesn't go on my chair". So I'm taking that as a yes.

Then my besties took me out to dinner and one of them gave me a desktop aquarium and I am totally putting that in my desk haha. The desktop aquarium has two small magnetic fish and has some gravel, a plastic plant and a magnetic wand to move the fish. The boss man did say he welcomes all plants and fish. He didn't say what kind of fish ^_^

That is all I can give you for this time. I will show you all pictures of the process of the flytrap and the desktop aquarium.

This Venus Flytrap would be one of my new adventures. So join me on...

NEWS!!!

I know I haven't said much lately but there are some news I'd like to share with you all...

I GOT A JOB!!!!!! I am totally excited to finally have a job ^_^

Another thing on the agenda is.... my workouts. I have been slowly working out on my own with some cardio on the elliptical and calisthenics. I'm getting pretty happy with the results. Slowly but surely ^_^

So my sister has a copy of Shaun T's Hip Hop Abs.. and I thought I could use it for, well, my abs. There are a few different workouts and the first one I try is Total Body Burn and I felt the pain in only my thighs due to squats and felt nothing, NOTHING in my abs. So a couple days after, I tried to do another workout called Abs Scuplt and I felt nothing again in my abs. I have no idea why. I do everything as he shows and I even go all out.

And then..... I found something weird on my body.... my arms are lopsided... my left arm muscles are much defined than my right arm. I don't know how that happened. So I'm working as hard as I could to make it the same by just working on my right arm. I don't know if that is healthy.

So far that is all I have for an update. But if you would like to follow me on my road...

More to add on my To Do List....

So... I want to go back to my high school body. Since I was in Volleyball in high school (one year) I kept working out because I wanted to get better. All through my five years in college, I didn't have the time to work out and eat right. All I did was study and the later I stayed up, the more I ate!! So I gained some weight (20 lbs)...

One of the things I'm adding to my To Do List is to get in shape and reach my ideal weight (20 lbs less than I am now). I will be working out in similar ways that I was in high school and eating healthier... or as healthy as I could afford ^_^

Another thing I am adding to my To Do List is getting my drivers license... I am 23 years old and I have yet to get my license... yes it's pathetic, but I just didn't have the time. But now I have nothing to do with my life, I am adding that to my list. I am trying to get it around August.

So.... my revised To Do List:
* Study for my GREs
* Get a "yhab" (job "House Bunny") (Which I had my first interview a few days ago)
* Independence
* Drivers License
* Find ME!!

So... follow me on my revised road....

Suggestions???

I would like to ask my readers to give me possible ideas that would help me find myself. Feel free to give me ideas on what I should do. I will write about it and learn from these experiences.

Help me and follow me on my road....

Learning Experiences (drinking)

So on my path to finding myself, I started going out with a few friends who LOVE to go to bars but I've only went out with them twice. These select friends popped my Mai Tai cherry the first time I went out. The second time I went out, they popped my The Shack at Waikiki cherry.

So the first time I went out, nothing fun happened to me... the second time I went out....

It was STRANGE!!!!

Since I wasn't hanging from the first night, my friend decided to give me something more stronger. So three shots just a few minutes prior, and an Icy Mai Tais and 99 banana float caused me to start feeling a bit drunk o.O

I was sober by the time we went to The Shack and was fine when I came home but.....

The next morning, I seemed like I was hung over. The sun was NOT my friend and I was SO tired!!! I hurled three small times and I slept. I went to work with a massive head ache and really thirsty.

My mother isn't too happy with how things turned out, but this is one of my many new learning experiences that helps me along my road...
